”Stop diabetes” as a national movement is launched in Bangalore on 14th. that is just opening doors which is relatively easy. Claiming to change the trend of diabetes in the country - is it not a big claim ? Dr Desh Bandhu Gupta, the chairman and MD of Lupin as the president of this launch function, having involved fully, is keen to see it happen. We are brain storming for bigger impact than 5000 diabetics practising in each of the 30 cities - a total of 1,50,000 persons in all as announced in the launch program. Dr DBG says that the number of diabetics in the country is nearing 7 crores and in the next 10 years it will reach 10 crores. Can we find ways for bigger numbers than just 1,50,000 in the next 5 to 10 years is the challenge pricking his brain? Any ideas ? Pl send email to us at email@example.com or on my email firstname.lastname@example.org or on the email of Sri Rajaram Iyer email@example.com , the chief facilitator based in Prashanti Kutiram or even on the email for our national co-ordinator Sri Ravindra Acharya firstname.lastname@example.org
Yet another major event in our university is the widespread movement for protection of Cows and thereby, build the economy and health of our villages. a big siddha yatra for the envisioned nationwide movement to come up from October 15, 2009 to Feb 15, 2010. Spearheaded by Pujya Raghaveshwarananda Bharati Swamiji of Ramachandrapur Mutt who has entrusted the work of research on Cows and their products–paòca gavya to us and we have made a humble beginning of setting up a Gou Anusandhana Kendra in the Prashanti campus. We will be having 100 cows to start research on the effect of music, agnihotra, vedic chanting, etc on the yield of milk from these cows. We will investigate the beneficial effects of milk from Desi cows compared to the large milk-yielding cows of the West - Jersey and Holestein breeds. We are now planning for an international conference from December 25th to 28th this year. As a preparation to this big yatra in 2009, Swamiji is going round the country from Oct 15th (inauguration in Hyderabad) to Feb 15 (valedictory in Bangalore) covering 24 cities, having large number of meetings with sadhus and saints, young masters, businessmen, politicians, workers and agriculturalists, etc to plan
extensively for the big Yatra in 2009 - 2010.
